Guitar Playing
When I first began learning music theory, I was only interested in understanding how it applied to the guitar. Very early on, I found a really helpful tool that fast tracked me into music theory and got me to a point where I was able to actually “play” and utilize the theory way before even I fully understood how the theory actually worked. This tool, “five simple little boxes”, allowed me to immediately play both major and minor scales in every key, all the modes in every key, and all the diatonic chords in every key all by simply memorizing five patterns. At the time, I didn’t realize how unique a way of learning this was. But after pursuing a formal education in music, I realized that these handy little patterns were the fast lane into learning guitar theory. Since they were so helpful to me, I want to share them with you. View Lessons
